Cartier Cuts up to 7.7 Grams Gold, 1,162.0 Grams Silver, 4.96% Copper and 3.52% Zinc on Cadillac Extension
Val-d’Or, Quebec, August 3rd, 2010 – Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ECR) (“Cartier”) is pleased to announce that new results from channel samples returned 1,162 g/t Ag and 1.40 g/t Au over 0.6 meters and 106 g/t Ag, 0.39 g/t Au, and 0.43 % Cu over 7.70 meters on the Cadillac Extension property located 115 kilometers east of Val-d’Or in the province of Quebec. Sampling of the mineralized area was focused on the historic polymetalic zone. Systematic sampling of the horizon has outlined a silver and gold bearing horizon averaging 3 meters wide and over a strike length of 120 meters. The zone is open laterally and at depth. The best intersections include:

Note: the sample lengths presented in this table are those of the channel samples taken perpendicular to the mineralization; the true thickness, which would take into account the varying dip, cannot be calculated at this time. “We are very pleased with these results as they confirm a new high grade potential for precious metals within the established base metal zones. The excellent surface exposure provides us with a much needed window on the mineralization’s geological signature, which can help us define an exploration strategy for this property” commented Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO of Cartier, adding, “tight sampling has clearly shown good widths and strike continuity for the mineralization”. Results for additional sampling are pending. Cartier is assessing its options to fund the exploration of this property, either through financing or as a result of a partnership, and will be providing updates to its shareholders regarding the advancement of this property.
