Cartier Launches Geophysical Surveys on Cadillac Extension

Val-d’Or, August 13th, 2015 – Cartier Resources Inc. (TSX-V: ECR) (“Cartier”) announces that it has launched geophysical OreVision and magnetometer surveyson the Cadillac Extension project, situated 135 km east-north-east of Val-d’Or.  These surveys follow the positive results of the calibration test line with OreVision technology, completed over the polymetalic (Cu-Zn-Ag) Langlade deposit.

The objectives of these surveys are to better define the position of the favourable horizon and the presence of massive sulphides as well as geophysical anomalies that could correspond to sulphides.  The surveys will be conducted over a line cut grid of 80 km covering an area of 3.5 km by 3 km.  The OreVision technology will search this area for deposits up to a depth of 600 m.

The occurrence of a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit (Langlade) on the property demonstrates the areas potential to generate these types of deposits.  Furthermore, the favourable horizon that contains the mineralization has been recognized over a distance of 5 km.

“These elements, factored with the robust approach developed with OreVision, could identify drill targets with a high potential for discovery of new massive sulphides on the property.” commented Philippe Cloutier, President and CEO.
