Cartier is Delivering Gold Hole by Hole – Jay Currie, ‘Talking My Book’

251025 Hole By Hole Jay Currie

I last wrote about Cartier Resources (ECR.V) in September when CEO Philippe Cloutier and his team had just kicked off their 100,000 meter, 600 hole drill program at their Cadillac project on the Abitibi gold belt in Quebec. ECR shares were trading at $0.17 and gold was trading around $3600 an ounce. Three weeks later, ECR is trading at $0.21 and gold at $4018 is blowing through $4000.

Most importantly, Cartier has returned the first of what will be hundreds of results. In two press releases covering holes drilled at what ECR describes as Main Sector, VG9 zone. VG has a specific meaning in gold exploration: visible gold. Usually tiny specks of gold visible to the naked eye (but more fun with a loupe).

All three of the holes reported today have visible gold grains. They also have gold values hitting highs of 35.5 g/t Au over 0.5 m and 20.4 g/t Au over 0.5 m. Very encouraging, but frankly, not unexpected. Cartier has a pretty good idea, based on earlier drilling, historic work, soils testing and sampling, of the geology at the Cadillac project. The drill program is designed to take hypothetical gold ounces into the company’s gold inventory. (Read complete article….)
