Philippe Cloutier
P.Geo.
President, Chief Executive Officer | Director
Philippe Cloutier, P.Geo., brings more than 35 years of experience in mining exploration and development, combining a solid geological background with a proven ability to unite people of diverse skills toward a common goal. Holding a B.Sc. in Geology and a Certificate in Human Resource Management, he has held senior roles with Noranda Inc., Aur Resources Inc., SOQUEM, and Alexis Minerals. Philippe played a lead role in the discovery and delineation of the Bell-Allard South Cu-Zn Mine in Matagami, Quebec, and contributed to other significant discoveries in the Abitibi region. Since founding Cartier Resources in 2006, he has guided the company’s growth through strategic land acquisitions, disciplined exploration, and strong industry relationships. His leadership extends beyond Cartier, having served as Chairman of the Board of the Association de l’exploration minière du Québec (AEMQ) and as a long-standing member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec’s.

Nancy Lacoursière
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Lacoursière has served as Chief Financial Officer of Cartier Resources since 2010, bringing over 24 years of accounting experience, including 15 years in the mining sector. Prior to joining Cartier, she spent nine years in public accounting, gaining a strong foundation in financial reporting and compliance. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Ms. Lacoursière’s deep operational knowledge ensures sound financial stewardship and continuity within Cartier’s evolving growth strategy.

Ronan Deroff
P.Geo.
Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Deroff is a professional geologist with over 17 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, focused primarily on Quebec’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt and its gold and VMS deposits. Since joining Cartier Resources in 2008, he has advanced from early fieldwork and grassroots discovery to leading exploration strategy, project evaluation, and resource development. As Vice President of Exploration, he has played a key role in consolidating the Cadillac Project and advancing a +2.3 Moz gold deposit east of Val-d’Or. Over his career, he has supervised more than 150,000 metres of surface and deep directional drilling, demonstrating strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and strategic vision. Mr. Deroff holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in geology from French universities and is a member of the OGQ and AEMQ.

Manon Waltz
Corporate Development Coordinator
Ms Waltz is a new member on the Cartier Resources team as Corporate Development Coordinator. With over 17 years of experience in management within the public sector, Ms Waltz has consistently demonstrated a strong sense of organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication abilities and leadership skills. These qualities will be valuable assets in advancing Cartier’s corporate development objectives.

Daniel Massé

Chairman of the Board | Director
Mr. Massé is President and CEO of GFM Groupe Financier and DM Actuariat Inc., firms specializing in financial planning and actuarial analysis. A graduate of Laval University with a degree in actuarial science and a certificate in financial administration, he is a member of the Order of Chartered Administrators of Quebec, the Quebec Institute of Financial Planning, and the Responsible Investment Association. Deeply rooted in the Val-d’Or community, Mr. Massé has served in leadership roles with the Chamber of Commerce, CLD Vallée-de-l’Or, and the Val-d’Or Hospital Foundation. He also led the transformation of the historic Lamaque mine into La Cité de l’Or, a key regional attraction. As Chairman, Mr. Massé brings a strong foundation in financial governance and a deep understanding of the local economic landscape—supporting Cartier’s long-term growth and stakeholder alignment.

Alain Laplante

Mr. Laplante brings over 30 years of senior financial experience in the mining and aviation sectors. He currently serves as Finance Coordinator at Meglab Électronique, which provides technology solutions to the mining industry. Previously, he spent 14 years as CFO of Orbit Garant Drilling, a TSX-listed drilling services company, and 18 years as CFO of Air Creebec, a regional airline. A Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) with an ICD.D designation, Mr. Laplante has also served as President of the Ordre des CGA du Québec. His deep expertise in financial oversight and governance supports Cartier’s commitment to disciplined financial management and transparency.

Manuel Peiffer
Director
Mr. Peiffer brings over 20 years of experience in financial management, investor support, wealth advisory, and private equity, with a particular focus on precious metals. Based in Belgium, he currently serves as Relationship Manager at GVS Financial Solutions in Frankfurt, where he works closely with high-net-worth clients and institutional investors. His background includes extensive client engagement and investor relations, supported by strong organizational and financial skills. Mr. Peiffer also maintains a solid personal and professional network of European investors and has been an active private investor in the precious metals space for over a decade—insight that strengthens Cartier’s connectivity to international capital and sector-specific expertise.

Mario Jacob

Director | Chair of the Compensation Committee
Mr. Jacob is Vice-President and COO of NCP Investment Management and President of Maximus Capital Inc., a corporate finance and restructuring consultancy. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 1995 and a certified corporate director (ASC) since 2009, he brings deep experience in legal, financial, and governance matters. Mr. Jacob has held board positions with multiple TSX Venture-listed companies, including Virginia Mines and Osisko Exploration James Bay, and has been a Director of Cartier Resources since 2007. His background also includes roles as VP and Director of LBJ Partners and as a partner at Flynn Rivard law firm. Mr. Jacob’s legal acumen and boardroom experience support Cartier’s commitment to sound governance, executive oversight, and strategic decision-making.

Myrzah Tavares Bello

Director | Chair of the Governance Committee
Ms. Bello is Vice President of Sustainable Development and Human Resources at O3 Mining Inc., with over 20 years of experience in sustainability and stakeholder engagement across the mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors. She previously served as a Director at SNC-Lavalin, where she led the climate change group and managed large, multidisciplinary teams—including the environment division in Brazil for over 14 years. Ms. Bello holds a bachelor’s in business administration, a Master’s in Business from Sherbrooke University and ESC Poitiers (France), and a Master’s in Environment from Sherbrooke. She is also an ICD.D–certified corporate director. Her expertise in ESG strategy, climate policy, and stakeholder consultation strengthens Cartier’s approach to responsible development and board governance.
