Cartier’s Exploration Strategy: Targeted. Data-Driven. Scalable.
At Cartier Resources, our strategy is simple but powerful: focus where the gold is — and where we can work efficiently.
We begin with geology. Our project spans 15 kilometres of the world-class Larder Lake–Cadillac Fault Zone, one of Quebec’s most productive gold-bearing structures.
We then factor in practicality — targeting areas close enough to infrastructure and workforce for efficient operations, yet far enough from residential areas to maintain our social license.
From there, we apply a sophisticated, data-driven targeting model. Our team integrates:
- 158,000+ drill hole assays from over 544,000 metres of historical drilling (~4,500 holes)
- 8,500+ surficial geochemistry samples (rocks, soils, glacial till, bark, stream and lake sediments)
- 15,000+ structural data points from mapping and downhole measurements
- Regional and high-resolution geophysics (magnetics, EM, gravity, IP, heli-mag, VLF)
This vast dataset is interrogated using both geological expertise and AI-powered modeling — highlighting gaps where prior work was incomplete, whether at depth or laterally to the east and west.
The result is a robust pipeline of high-probability drill targets across our consolidated land position. We’re now executing a bold, 18-month campaign:
- 100,000 metres of diamond drilling
- 600+ drill holes
- 24/7 operations with two rigs
Our objective: to confirm the emergence of a new mining camp east of Val-d’Or — anchored by past producers, driven by modern science, and scaled for future growth.
